Heggunje Rajeeva Shetty
Born on 19 July 1959 in Haladi village, Udupi district, Dr. H. S. Shetty grew up in a modest agrarian family where he learned the virtues of hard work and community. His father, the late Heggunje Rajeeva Shetty, a respected teacher, instilled in him a lifelong belief that education and empathy form the bedrock of progress
From working as an office assistant in Mumbai’s Dharavi slums to building one of India’s most respected export houses, his life is a testament to perseverance and purpose.
A scientific thinker and spiritual humanist, Dr. Shetty embraces sustainability as a philosophy of life — balancing industry, environment, and human welfare.

- Koraga Housing Project: 100 modern homes for a marginalised tribal community (₹ 18 lakhs per home).
- Karnataka Public School (Brahmavara): State’s first PPP model school built with ₹ 3 crore personal investment; offers free education from primary to PU level.
- Uniform Drive: 41,000 students across 325 schools receive new uniforms every year restoring confidence and dignity.
- Digital Education: IIT-Madras e-learning program reaching 150 rural schools (45,000 students).
- Healthcare Support: Ventilators, Food kits ,blankets and other donated to Udupi hospitals during COVID-19.
